The capital's main passenger railway hub, at 7 Turkistan Street, and the usual departure point for Afrosiyob and other intercity services. Not the same station as Tashkent South.
Uzbekistan Railway Stations
Travelers should check the exact station because some cities have multiple terminals, stations located outside the historical center, or station names that differ from the destination-city name. Always use the station printed on your ticket rather than assuming a single main station per city.

Tashkent South
Long-distance and overnight services to western and southern Uzbekistan, including Termez and Khiva. A separate station from Tashkent Central.

The main rail gateway for Samarkand, serving Afrosiyob, Sharq and other intercity trains.
Bukhara
Bukhara Railway Station is located in Kogon, outside the historic center — plan a local transfer on arrival.
Khiva
Khiva Railway Station — direct rail access to Khiva, so Urgench is no longer the only train gateway.
Western Uzbekistan
Western Uzbekistan & Khorezm
Urgench is Khorezm's regional transport center — useful for the airport, city stays and other Khorezm travel; Khiva now has its own direct railway station, so Urgench is no longer the only rail gateway there. Nukus is the long-distance rail gateway to Karakalpakstan and onward travel toward Muynak and the Aral Sea region.
